Gratitude List

Things I'm grateful for this month:

  • Classic Neighbours starting on TV from the beginning- last month I mentioned that I'd been watching it on YouTube (a newer series/season)!
  • Summer sunsets
  • Interesting books- lately there have been a few books I just haven't enjoyed that much, so it's good when I find one I'm more into.
  • Adriana from YR Studio's Autumn Countdown series- summer is my favourite season so I'm not wishing it away, but I also enjoy seasonal living.
  • Milkshakes
  • Supportive online spaces
  • Publishing a new post on my Substack

Letting Go of 2025

It's the start of a new year and so time for my annual year-end (letting go of the previous year) post! I most often write them at the end of the previous year (and publish them on New Year's Eve), but I didn't manage to get this one done in time. I did include a quick section in my December Gratitude List post though:

Gratitude List + Year-End Thoughts (2025): https://fallingpetalsuk.blogspot.com/2025/12/gratitude-list-year-end-thoughts-2025.html

So now I'm doing my letting go post at the start of the new year instead. I've written letting go posts for the past 8 years. You can see them at the links below:

Letting Go of 2017: https://fallingpetalsuk.blogspot.com/2017/12/letting-go-of-2017.html

Letting Go of 2024: https://fallingpetalsuk.blogspot.com/2024/12/letting-go-of-2024.html

The first half of 2025 was quite difficult for me, due to personal issues and also having a hard time with anxiety (specifically health anxiety). I also write a mid-year reflections post and I mentioned it in that post and also linked to some resources to help people with health anxiety. You can see the post here: https://fallingpetalsuk.blogspot.com/2025/06/mid-2025-reflections.html

I usually mention numerology in these posts. If you follow that, the Universal Year Number was 9, which signalled the end of a cycle, completion and closure. So 2026's is 1, the start of a new cycle (which will last for another 9 years). Themes include new beginnings, change and release. You can read more about it here: https://astrostyle.com/2026-numerology-1-universal-year-predictions/

Gratitude List + Year-End Thoughts (2025)

I normally post on Sundays or Mondays but I was behind with posts on my other blogs (Star Sparkle Blog and The Seasonal Life), so I'm writing my monthly Gratitude List today instead.

Also, I write an annual year-end post but I haven't managed to get that done yet, so I thought I would include some year-end thoughts here and then write the more in depth post later. :)

Things I'm grateful for this month:

  • Getting new earrings
  • Christmas lights
  • Yule/the Winter Solstice
  • Beautiful sunsets (I've shared a pic of one below)
  • Christmas presents and cards
  • Cooking a proper turkey myself for the first time and it coming out ok!
  • Hot chocolate
  • Christmas chocolates!

Year-End Thoughts

I decided to add a quick section to this post, like I've done with a couple of Gratitude Lists in the past (most recently last month).
