We're halfway through the year, so it's time for my annual mid-year reflections post! It's late this year but never mind, lol. I started writing them in 2017 (8 year, although my first one was in May, so just before mid-year. You can see my previous posts below:

I also write an end-of year post. Here is 2024's: https://fallingpetalsuk.blogspot.com/2024/12/letting-go-of-2024.html
The first half of the year was quite difficult for me, due to personal issues. I've been struggling with anxiety (specifically health anxiety) a lot. I may do another post in my Healing Health Anxiety series, which I wrote back in 2016.
Similarly to last year, I mainly went to Happy Café meetups (organised by Action for Happiness) and to the park a few times. Also to the beach. I most often went to the park and beach as part of my celebrations for sabbats (seasonal festivals). I write about my celebrations for those on my seasonal living blog The Seasonal Life.
I haven't belly danced so far this year but I did meet up with my dance friends at a pub in March, which was nice. I hope to do some dance related things later this year.
The world continues to be quite crazy! I don't really have the energy to write about it now.
Something that's been helping me with health anxiety has been videos from Cherelle Thinks, a therapist/counsellor who had health anxiety herself and is now recovered. She has Instagram and an email newsletter as well.
If you also have health anxiety (HA), you may find her content helpful too. You can find her at these links:
YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@cherellethinks

Website: https://www.cherellethinks.co.uk/
I also signed up to Dr. Britney Chesworth's newsletter. She is a therapist, researcher, educator and coach, and another former HA sufferer. Here's her site: https://www.coachbritney.com/
Blogging wise, I've only written one post so far this year, apart from my monthly gratitude lists. It's called Does Manifesting Really Work? and is about the Law of Attraction/Law of Assumption/manifesting: https://fallingpetalsuk.blogspot.com/2025/05/does-manifesting-really-work.html
I've been most active on my entertainment blog Star Sparkle Blog (which is usually the case, since I post twice weekly there). I normally post once or twice a month on my seasonal living blog The Seasonal Life (TSL). I write quarterly updates on TSL. You can see the winter-spring update here: https://livingseasonal.blogspot.com/2025/04/winter-spring-update-2025-easter-baking.html
So, that's about it for the update! Last year I said that it was shorter than other years but this one is even shorter! Never mind. I think we should all try to do what we can and not put too much pressure on ourselves. If you're feeling reflective now that we're mid-way through the year, I'll share a few resources for reflecting on the first half of 2025. :)
